Fr. Wojciech Gierasimczyk
Fr. Wojciech Gierasimczyk ( Voy-check Gyeh-rah-SEEM-chik) was born on June 14, 1980, in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland. His vocation began to take shape in 1995 through his involvement with the Neocatechumenal Way. In 2002, he was sent to Denver, Colorado, where he studied English before beginning priestly formation at Redemptoris Mater Archdiocesan Missionary Seminary.
Father Wojciech (or Father Wojtek – pronounced Voy-teck) spent approximately ten years in seminary formation, receiving theological, spiritual, pastoral, and missionary preparation. His formation was closely connected with the Neocatechumenal Way and emphasized community life, evangelization, and readiness to serve the universal Church.
On May 12, 2012, he was ordained a priest at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver. He was first assigned to St. Anthony Parish in Sterling, Colorado. He later served in the mountain communities of Breckenridge and Silverthorne, where he ministered at St. Mary and Our Lady of Peace. These experiences allowed him to serve Catholics in very different communities and circumstances. He was subsequently appointed pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Denver.
In 2022, Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila appointed Father Wojtek pastor of St. Mary Catholic Parish in Greeley. Since then, he has served the parish by celebrating the Holy Eucharist and the sacraments, preaching, evangelizing, leading OCIA, and providing pastoral care for the students of St. Mary Catholic School.
In 2025, he was also appointed Dean of the Greeley Deanery, where he serves and collaborates with Catholic communities and clergy throughout the deanery.
In his free time, he enjoys cooking, watching movies, traveling, and visiting friends.
