2025-26 Full-Time 4th Grade Teacher

THE POSITION: The 4th Grade teacher is responsible for fostering academic excellence and spiritual growth by teaching 4th-grade students in a Christ-centered environment at St. Mary Catholic School.

DUTIES:

  • Teach 4th grade students the subjects of Math, Language Arts, Science, History, and Religion.
  • Prepare Lesson plans designed to implement stated goals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish student performance expectations that are clear and consistent
  • Maintain an efficient, functional and pleasant leaning environment that sets a high standard of behavior and is consistent and fair to all students
  • Support and enforce school-wide policies and rules
  • Effectively and respectfully communicate and maintain a positive relationship with parents, students, the Parish community, the principal, and other staff members
  • Model an attitude of service
  • Be timely with reporting of grades and incidents

2025-26 Part-Time Preschool Teacher

THE POSITION: To be considered for employment as a preschool teacher, you should have patience, compassion, and energy to successfully guide a class of young children, each of whom will have different needs, abilities, aptitudes, and emotions. The best candidate will also have excellent administrative and organizational skills, in order to plan curriculums and track data on each child’s progress. It is preferred that you be a practicing Catholic, so you can share, and teach our faith with students.

DUTIES:

  • Educating children about their faith, and fundamental concepts, such as colors, letters, numbers, and shapes.
  • Encouraging social interactions between children and improving their self-esteem.
  • Engaging in creative methods of learning, such as arts and crafts, supervised play, and storytelling.
  • Planning comprehensive curriculums to address early childhood development needs.
  • Instilling a sense of order and discipline in the classroom.
  • Monitoring free time on the playground.
  • Ensuring the classroom, and playground is a clean, safe, and organized environment.
  • Preparing for lessons by gathering materials and setting up workstations.
  • Communicating with parents to better understand the children’s home lives and psyches.
  • Maintaining data and progress reports for parents on each child’s developmental progress for parent conferences.
  • Nutritional support, setting up snacks, shopping for snacks, modeling healthy choices by eating with children at snack time.

2025-26 Part-Time Before/After Care Lead

THE POSITION: The Before/After Car Lead is responsible for assisting the Before/After Care Director in facilitating an After Care program in the Christ-centered environment of St. Mary Catholic School through fun and engaging activities while ensuring a safe environment in all areas.

DUTIES:

  • Watch children and Supervise all activities associated with After Care including but not limited to: Blacktop activities, playground and schoolyard activities, gymnasium activities, classroom activities, and snack time
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and pleasant environment for all students with discipline that is consistent and fair
  • Work with the Before/After Care Director to come up with and implement new and/or improved activities that will help the children learn and grow
  • Prepare for, set up, take down, and clean up for all activities associated with After Care including but not limited to: snack time, arts and crafts, games, supplies, and equipment
  • Assist children with homework and help explain subject matter when possible
  • Sanitize tables, chairs and pick up the floor after snack, activities and at the end of the day
  • Periodically Sanitize toys as directed by the Before/After Care Director
  • Effectively and respectfully communicate and maintain a positive relationship with parents, students, the Parish community, the Before/After Care Director, and other staff members
  • Model an attitude of service
  • Maintain security procedures in and out of the building
  • Be timely with reporting of incidents to the Before/After Care Director and Principal
  • Participate in staff development as directed by the Before/After Care Director

2025-26 Substitute Teacher

Our substitute teachers cover for teacher absences in the preschool and the main school. Teachers will reach out to registered substitutes when a need arises to see if they are free & willing to cover a class. On top of following and executing lesson plans, substitutes assume responsibility for overseeing student behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods as assigned.

  • Signed Code of Conduct for the AoD
  • Cleared background check
  • Signed Hold Harmless
  • Concussion training
  • Mandatory reporter training
  • HR safety trainings

2025-26 Volunteer Sports Coaches

THE POSITION: The Volunteer Sports Coaches will report to the Volunteer Athletic Director and the school principal. Sports coaches are needed to run out-of-school practices and attend/coach all home and away games. Other responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Coordinate with the AD and school office staff regarding practice schedules, sports equipment, uniforms, etc.
  • Enforce school policies regarding school attendance, grade requirements, & dress code, for all athletic events. Communicate these policies to school families and athletes.
  • Aid in the planning and execution of applicable sports banquets/ceremonies.

The following sports will need coaches for the 2025-26 school year:

  • Boys Soccer (Fall)
  • Girls Basketball (Fall)
  • Girls Volleyball (Fall)
  • Boys Basketball (Spring)
  • Girls Soccer (Spring)
  • Boys & Girls Track (Spring)
