Admissions Process

Applications for the 2026-27 school year will open in late January 2026.

Step 1: Visit St. Mary Catholic School

The selection of a school for your child is an important decision. We welcome the opportunity to tell you about our school, give you a tour of our campus and provide you with the information you need.

Consider requesting for your child to have a Shadow Day at St. Mary. By shadowing for a day, your child will get a rich experience of day to day life at the school. (Only for grades 1-8)

Step 3: Family Interview

After your child’s application has been received, the school office will contact you to schedule the Family Interview, if you have not yet met our principal and/or preschool director, that includes: parents/guardians and student. We value our partnerships with our families and the partnerships begins in the interview.

Enrollment is dependent on the Family Interview and the review of student records.

Step 4: Entrance Assessment

At the same time the school office contacts you to schedule the Family Interview, they will also schedule the Entrance Assessment.

Students entering K – 8th grade will complete an assessment with a grade-level teacher or administrator. This assessment will test their academic proficiency as well as their developmental readiness for the grade they are entering.

Students entering 1st – 8th grade are required to provide records from their previous school prior to being accepted to St. Mary. These records include, but may not be limited to: transcripts, IEPs or 504s, and discipline records.

Step 6: Apply for Financial Aid (Optional)

We strongly encourage all K-8 families to apply for financial aid. There are different deadlines for applications depending on the organization you choose, and the income limitations are generous so it is always worth taking a second look to see if you qualify.
