I am blessed to have been teaching at St. Mary Catholic School since 2000, and have been employed by the Archdiocese of Denver for 21 years. I have taught preschool, kindergarten, and in the gifted and talented program in District 6, in private schools and in the Archdiocese. My degree is in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I hold a Professional Teacher License (K-5) with the State of Colorado. I am currently in my 4th Year of Catholic Biblical School through the Archdiocese of Denver St. John Vianney Seminary. I am looking forward to learning more about scripture as we study the Psalms, the Gospel of John, and the book of Revelation.
I am so excited to teach 3rd grade this year. I am looking forward to catechizing my students in their faith and helping them come to know more about Jesus through the reception of the sacraments of First Reconciliation, and First Holy Communion. To watch them come to Jesus through His forgiveness and saving grace in the Eucharist will be amazing! I am also looking forward to working with my class from last year, and watching them grow academically as we move together into the second grade curriculum.
I have served on several committees for the Denver Archdiocese Office of Catholic Schools, including acting as Steering Chair for St. Mary's Quality Assurance Review, and I served on the OCS Language Arts Review Committee. I am also a trained mentor teacher for the Archdiocese. I love serving in this capacity, and watching new teachers develop their profession in the Catholic School System. Being a Catholic School teacher is a vocation, a ministry, and an opportunity for me have fun at work every day!
