We will continue with our Literature Circles (or book club) this week.
Your child has assigned reading and a Literature Circle job that must be complete before the first book club meeting. 

Come read some of the tall tales displayed on the second floor.
 

Please remember that independent reading is not optional in fourth grade;
it is required every day!



 

I've discovered a new series written by a Fort Collins author that I am excited about.  The series is about a ten-year old boy named Aldo Zelnick, and the settings of the books are always local.  The author is Karla Oceanak.  These books are comic novels, so they are funny and easy to read.  This series is also filled with wonderful vocabulary words, which are defined for readers in the back of each book.
