My name is Jeanne Wischer and I am from a ghost town in the beautiful mountains called Kenilworth, in Utah. The mountains are still one of my favorite places to be! My background is mainly in DNA Technology. I received my Master's Degree in DNA Technology from Marshall University in West Virginia. I worked in a DNA lab in Aurora, Colorado for over a decade. There we typed patients for bone marrow and/or organ transplants. In 2011 my husband had an opportunity to work in Greeley, and we moved out of Denver. For the next decade I taught Biology at Colorado Community Colleges online.
I have 3 children, 2 attend Severance High School and the youngest attends St. Mary Catholic School.
In my free time, I like to walk my dogs, clog, read as many books as possible, and try to be active at Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Windsor.
I am very blessed and excited to be here at St. Mary Catholic School. My teaching philosophy is to instill a love of God's creation by understanding the way nature works. We spend a lot of time on vocabulary, because half of science is understanding the terminology and what I call the "Science Language".
