The University of Colorado Middle School Honor Band is an opportunity for talented young musicians from across the state to join together in the performance of quality concert band literature.  Both the rehearsals and performance will take place at the University of Colorado.  Check-in will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 with rehearsals.  Friday evening will feature the CU Music Schools Collage concert.  The band will rehearse from app. 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday followed by a performance at Macky Auditorium beginning at 7:00 pm.

Students submit a recorded audition of scales and required etudes.  I will record students during the first week in November.  The audition form is now online and I will fill it out and submit it with the band student. There is a $20.00 audition fee need to be turned in to Mr. Davis by Thursday Nov. 8th.

If selected for the Honor Band, students will be expected to attend all scheduled rehearsals and activities.  Parents are responsible for transportation, lodging, and supervision at all other times during the Honor Band weekend.
