Each year our Middle School students are asked to give of their talent by committing to 35 hours for the 7th grade year, and 50 hours for 8th grade year. Activities such as altar serving, volunteering for the Children's Carnival at our Fall Festival, and preparing and serving meals at our local Guadelupe Shelter are some of the many opportunities in which our students can earn these hours. The purpose of this expectation is to prepare these students for adult community service. These kids will be our future Rotarians, Kiwanis members, or Knights os Columbus. The parents of our studens are great volunteers here ar St. Mary School and in the community. We wish to instill this attitude of volunteerism in our students here at St.Mary Catholc School as well. Our school motto is Faith, Excellence, ans Service. Our students have big hearts and great attitudes. Many achieve their volunteer hours and add many more. "For I have come not to be served, but to serve..."
